Scouts & ESU : Winter Camp '19
Brave the elements as you participate in an exciting, exhilarating and adventurous activity weekend at one of the coldest times of year Take part in all the best activities including Mobile Zip, Gyroscope, Rolling Rock, Coconut tree climb, Bungee trampolines, huge inflatable zone, mini digger, laser tag, laser clays, Giant Scalextric, Spider mountain High ropes zone, axe throwing, and lots lots more Be prepared for all of the surprises of British weather – bring your waterproofs, suitable sleeping bag, plenty of layers to wrap up in and sun cream (yes, really!) We’ve experienced all sorts of weather at Wincam, from snow to high winds to surprising warmth More details on what you will actually need will be released in due course We know some of you may have concerns about your child camping in cold condition, but if they have the right clothes on they won't be cold, we often cover how to keep warm in cold conditions on the lead up to this camp at meetings If you wish to discuss any further concerns please contact John directly Scouts won't even need to cook, the leaders do all the cooking so all your child has to do is have fun! Wincam-Parents-Pack1 pdf*** Please Note *** The traffic getting to Belchamps can be awful on a Friday evening, most parents find it easier to collect their child straight from school and go straight there There will be a leader on site from about 1500 hrs from Wateringbury The Dartford River Crossing can get very busy, so if you can get to it before 1630hrs you should arrive in time, if you are running late, it's no problem, but please ensure that you give us a text with your estimated time of arrival so we can plan food If you are going to arrive after 2000hrs please get your child dinner en-route Here is the current traffic situation at the Dartford Crossing
