Wateringbury Scout and Guide Headquarters Working Party

8th June 2024, 12:30 - 9th June 2024

06/08/2024 12:30 06/09/2024 00:00 Europe/London Wateringbury Scout and Guide Headquarters Working Party It's that time of year again everyone! Whether it's holding our meetings, storing our supplies or just boiling the kettle, our headquarters does an outstanding job year round for facilitating our Scout and Guide groups, and to keep that standard high for years to come we are putting on a Working Party to carry out various maintenance tasks If you are able to do so, please come and volunteer your time on the 8th & 9th June from 12:30 onwards to help us maintain the building so that we can keep on Scouting with the very best of them! No experience or tools are required, just a willingness to get involved (and old clothes for working in) We have a variety of jobs to get involved in, so there's something for everyone!  In particular, we are looking for someone with experience with masonry, who can help/advise us on how to deal with the deteriorating condition of our firepit This is an area in which we are completely lacking experience and would greatly benefit from assistance with of any kind We are also looking for experience in Carpentry to help us repair the wood store which has begun bowing under the weight of the firewood If you are unable to join us, we invite you to donate (HQ Working Party 2024 - Online Social Fundraising Donation Platform | Givey) to help cover the costs of the resources used and further maintenance to our Headquarters This work is important not only for the upkeep of the facilities but also for building a sense of community for our members to belong to, and so any time or contributions you can give would be highly appreciated
